I’m very grateful for my time at County College of Morris (CCM). Back when I was 18, I studied film, it wasn’t for me and a few years later I was able to kind of reset my career path by going to CCM and studying computer science. (My experience at the National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates Program) gave me my introduction to research, data science, and kind of certified my belief that I wanted to pursue a PhD and maybe work in academia.

I was a stay-at-home mom. Supply chain sparked my interest. My first class was like, ‘Define supply chain management in your own words.’ I thought to myself, ‘Oh Gosh, what I can think of… I’m a mom, yes, I’m a supply chain manager at home!’ I have to say that my associate’s degree to supply chain management was the best thing ever, and it really helped me grow as a person, as a mom, and gave me the opportunity to get back in the economy.

NJIT, Hudson County Community College and Bricklayers Union Sign Letter of Intent to Develop Apprenticeship-to-Degree Pathway

Through the NJ Pathways to Career Opportunities initiative, a new partnership between Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Hudson County Community College (HCCC), and the New Jersey Administrative District Council of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers is creating a seamless Apprenticeship-to-Degree pathway in construction and engineering technology.
