Director, New Jersey Construction Craft Laborers’ Apprenticeship Program

JOSEPH DE MARCO, JR. serves as director of the New Jersey Construction Craft Laborers’ Apprenticeship Program (NJCCLAP), an innovative, federally-registered, labor-management fund that recruits, supports, and trains men and women for careers in the construction industry as a union Laborer. Previously, he served twenty-three years as training director for Local 172 Safety, Education, and Training Fund in Folsom, New Jersey, delivering market-driven safety and skills training to tens of thousands of members serving thousands of signatory contractors. DeMarco is a proud 40-year member of General and Construction Laborers Local 172 in Trenton, New Jersey. Previously, he served on the local union’s executive board and as secretary of Local 172’s Political Action Committee. DeMarco holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Labor Studies from the National Labor College.
